On the Levada dos Piornais walk close to Funchal. We've enjoyed the walk 3 times now and each time spent half an hour here. If you find the start of the Levada, close to the upper end of the main stadium to the west of Funchal, then you'll eventually walk straight in to this cafe; it's about a third of the way along so is perhaps a better place to catch on the way back.
