"I have visited Rosie 's on two other occasions when I have visited Gander and both times were very positive experiences. However, this past visit was so negative I won 't be returning. I had hoped to originally order the cod but they were sold out so I ordered the salmon. I eat fish several times a week so I know how it is suppose to smell and taste. When the salmon arrived it looked fine but it didn 't smell great, so I did try a small bite and it was awful. It had gone bad and I would have been sick if I ate it. When the waitress returned with the remaining food for the table, I told her what the issue was and was sorry but I had to send it back. I then ordered the soup and side salad. Several minutes later she came back with my plate of salmon and informed me that it is their policy to not take anything back and I would still have to pay for it. I explained that I was sending it back because it was bad and not that I changed my mind or didn 't like it. She apologized and said there was nothing that she could do. So, I waited for my second order but while waiting one of friends (who happens to own a pub/restaurant), tried a small piece of the salmon and agreed that it was bad and couldn 't be eaten. Once we were finished the waitress came by and asked if I wanted a take away for the salmon and I informed her to throw it away because it was bad and would make someone sick if they ate it. When I went to the cash I again told the cashier the issue I had and she said the same thing there is nothing I can do . I make a point to always try to support local businesses, especially small mom-and-pop places, but if you are looking for good food and somewhere that appreciates your business, Rosie 's is not that place."

"They didn't have chiil or much else sounded like. I got the last bowl of chicken noodle soup. It was delicious. Lots of staff, very busy. Clean as well, but perhaps check stock. It's on hi way #1 after all best coffee"

"Stopped in for lunch on the way through Gander. Busy spot but got seated promptly and service was fast and friendly. I had the pea soup with a dumpling. It was not very hot and the dumpling was a bit gummy but flavour was good...and amount was generous. Others declared their meals to be good diner type meals."

"Great spot to go for a supper out. Food quality is always excellent, however wait times for food can be quite long if there are a lot of people dining in the restaurant. Extensive variety of wing flavours, and a very good menu if you are looking for something other than wings. I have never been disappointed by my food choices at this location, the only slight downside would be the long wait times when they are busy."
