"Bistro Ristoro is easily one of our favourite restaurants in Ottawa. It's a wonderful local business run by the best people we always have great conversations with Vlado and Lydia when we are there. The restaurant serves delicious, authentic Macedonian food. The last time we went there we had the piquant stuffed champignons, the pillows, the spicy sausage roll ups, and much more everything was AMAZING! One of my favourite dishes there has to be the Halloumi and roasted red pepper appetizer the Halloumi is the perfect consistency and tastes really great! Their pizzas and mains are also fantastic, and I highly recommend the Oliva pizza if you like olives and mushroom : One of our favourite things about this place is the passionate and energetic team that runs it you can tell that the owners and staff truly care about putting delicious food out for their customers! It's unfortunate that we had to move out of Ottawa and can't visit anymore, but this is going to be our go to place every time we travel to visit the city in the future!"

"I went there several times at noon, little choice in the menu but there are for all tastes. The fries are great! The only flat is that I find it very expensive for a dinner because the lunch menu is restricted and still expensive. for the middle class. no plates at the bottom of $17 without counting the drink. The service is great, the manager is always on the spot at noon.Very nice atmosphere!"

"I had one of the worst eating experiences at this restaurant for a friend's bachelor party last night. The first of a series of unfortunate events was the hair I found in my soup the first of a course meal. The wait between...meals was around minutes. One of my friends only got a Serloin steak while the rest of us got our appetizers, so he waited hours for his main meal and a loaf of bread that they provided every hour. We were starving and tried getting a waiter to notify us what was happening, and they just walked away and ignored us. The rest of the meals were sub-par and disappointing. The one positive note was they poured us water frequently. But to top it all off, the worst of it all, was when we finished paying out bill. We each agreed the service was terrible and didn't deserve a tip, especially for the experience you think you would get. After we paid, the server was occasionally bumping my chair aggressively while walking by. I'm sure it was by accident but it was very clear it wasn't after the time. Then my friend got out of the bathroom and told us a server just shoulder checked him while he was walking back to the table! This was objectively a cruel and overwhelming disappointing end to our friends bachelor party. You should be ashamed."
