"I visited on a spectacular day the weekend after Thanksgiving with my senior parents who have limited mobility. We enjoyed a perfect day visiting the new museum, taking both the Gullah and the house tour as well as having a fantastic late lunch at the tea room. I highly recommend spending a day at this stunning property and learning from the well informed staff and owners. My parents were able to manage well enough on the grounds using a rolling walker and canes. The food in tea room was top notch, reasonably priced with pleasant service. Enjoy a day stepping back in time and learning about the history of the plantation and people who left their mark on this land."

"Absolutely amazing!!!! Love this place go at least once a week, I have never got anything I didn't like, husband and I got the chicken fajitas for 2 the last time I was there, and there was so much food I ate for 2 days after!!! Nicely priced as well"

"When I travel for work, I almost always sit at the bar to have my dinner. There usually is some camaraderie and friendly interaction, which is nice for a single traveler. Not tonight, not at Bistro 217. Patrons were not friendly, bartenders were not friendly. I always come here to eat when I am in Georgetown, and I found the food to be somewhat lower in quality. The Korean Chicken was very sweet, the pimento cheese with the bread basket was tasteless and the rolls were really stale. The wine list, as always, was very good. It was a disappointing visit."

"We used to frequent this bakery every year while we were at the beach, they have changed their recipes in the past few years. I still enjoyed the pastries but the chocolate covered cream puff is now filled with a cool whip like substance instead of a whipped cream. I was disappointed but still ate it all."
