"I visited on a spectacular day the weekend after Thanksgiving with my senior parents who have limited mobility. We enjoyed a perfect day visiting the new museum, taking both the Gullah and the house tour as well as having a fantastic late lunch at the tea room. I highly recommend spending a day at this stunning property and learning from the well informed staff and owners. My parents were able to manage well enough on the grounds using a rolling walker and canes. The food in tea room was top notch, reasonably priced with pleasant service. Enjoy a day stepping back in time and learning about the history of the plantation and people who left their mark on this land."

"Most popular spot in Georgetown by far. I’ve done dine in, take out, you name it. The sushi is arguably the best in the state. It’s just flat out good. Love the hibachi tacos, sushi, sushi burrito (only on a certain day), shrimp hibachi dinner, basically everything. The food is great. Service is usually pretty good. Get there early on the weekends or there will be a wait. My favorite spot in Georgetown for sure. 10/10 recommend."

"Came in for Sushi and Soup and a couple beers. Used to live in Pawleys and always remembered how good the food was. Upon entering I asked how long they would be open due to the incoming storm was rudely told (this is paraphrased she went on a bit of a tirade) by a server/host “we’re gonna close soon order now if you want something” my server however was a breath of fresh air very kind and good to converse with. I ordered the miso soup and while I ate that I looked at the menu and drank my beer. After ordering sushi and waiting it arrived it looked delicious! I asked for a napkin to spit out my gum. While waiting for my napkin I looked down at my sushi and there was a cockroach with sauce drizzled on it. I told the staff and asked for my check. They comped my meal and I was on my way. My server apologized profusely. Probably will not be back. Please do better Yagi, you have dropped the ball."

"Stopped on the way back from Charleston, this will definitely be our go to spot when ever were down that way again. Ice cream was delicious and all homemade, other items were also homemade and delicious, and the milkshakes were great, especially the malted that I had. Not the cheapest place for ice cream, but worth it. Highly recommend."

"My wife and I had dinner here at River Room while visiting Georgetown. There was no waiting at this time of year (April 25th). The waitress had multiple tables to serve, but did a good job. I ordered the Flounder Platter and my wife ordered a 10 oz. Ribeye steak. The salads were not that good but the bread that they brought out was pretty good. My flounder was thick and good but not great. I’ve had better. Now the steak was cooked just right for my wife and she loved it. I tasted it and it was very juicy and tasted great. Wished I would have ordered one! Anyway, this was a pretty nice restaurant with a good setting right on the water. After the meal, we took a walk on the boardwalk and looked at all the docked ships."
