"I visited on a spectacular day the weekend after Thanksgiving with my senior parents who have limited mobility. We enjoyed a perfect day visiting the new museum, taking both the Gullah and the house tour as well as having a fantastic late lunch at the tea room. I highly recommend spending a day at this stunning property and learning from the well informed staff and owners. My parents were able to manage well enough on the grounds using a rolling walker and canes. The food in tea room was top notch, reasonably priced with pleasant service. Enjoy a day stepping back in time and learning about the history of the plantation and people who left their mark on this land."

"When I travel for work, I almost always sit at the bar to have my dinner. There usually is some camaraderie and friendly interaction, which is nice for a single traveler. Not tonight, not at Bistro 217. Patrons were not friendly, bartenders were not friendly. I always come here to eat when I am in Georgetown, and I found the food to be somewhat lower in quality. The Korean Chicken was very sweet, the pimento cheese with the bread basket was tasteless and the rolls were really stale. The wine list, as always, was very good. It was a disappointing visit."

"We drove from Surfside beach to a pastrami hot under....it was great as always! We also have a tuna salad and it was also great!! Love their sauces, but above all we had a great server! He was so attentive to my husband and I when he was with everyone this day! I wish I knew his name so that I could beg him personally! It means a lot to have a good server because I am a waitress myself! Great lunch and experience around!!!"
