"After several days in the Vexin region of Normandy trying to find good authentic French cuisine, tonight we hit the jackpot. This was spectacularly good. The patron was patient and helpful (and not in the least condescending). The 23 Euro menu was way better than it should have been for 23 Euros and the more expensive menu (which my wife had) even better. Amuse bouches were served to keep us entertained in betwen courses. The turbot was sublime and the slow cooked beef superb. Wonderfully good wines served by the glass or the bottle were served. Where else can you get Pomerol by the glass for 8 Euros? Or a white Vacqueyras? Our faith in French cooking is restored. Not only is it still the best in the world, but you can still find it, if you try."
