What User likes about Russell's Fireside Dining Room At Lake Mcdonald Lodge:
I didn’t stay at the hotel. I was in the motel down the road. We ate all of our meals at the lodge. Restaurant staff, food and atmosphere were wonderful. The huckleberry ice cream, pie and drinks were quite the treat. The breakfast buffet had fresh fruit and wonderful bacon. The coffee was a little below average. Overall a pleasant surprise. We stayed in a Snyder hall room because we really just wanted a place to sleep between our planned long day hikes. The floors and walls of our room were dirty. The communal shower was filthy. The mattress felt as though it had been there since 1985, my husband and I constantly rolling into the center divot.
