Sheep mountain lodge, if you are in the area, it is a wonderful place to stay. The cabins are roomy and clean and perfect for 2 people or a small family! I went for a few extra creamers in the morning and since the Restaurant wasn't open yet the young man told me he was not allowed to give me any additional creamer's. I had to wait till they opened, by the time he told me all that he could have handed me 2 creamers.... read more.

What a beautiful place to stay. The restaurant has delicious food. We enjoyed their breakfast and dinner. We were able to stay in two different types of cabins...

"Good place for lunch with a view of Matanuska Glacier. This place is very close to Matanuska hiking point. There is a coin operated telescope at the outside that gives you the close view of glacier. The place is very cozy and staffs are friendly. Got a window seat and enjoyed awesome view with food. We ordered spicy mushroom burger, glacier cookie and black coffee. The food is decent, the glacier cookie is good for 2-3person."

"I'm sorry I didn't come in. We went with a big group and wanted to eat and go. While we waited for our orders to be picked up, we noticed how great the interior decoration at this place and the beautiful view from inside and on the deck was. Your burgers were great. They had 2 big but friendly dogs. Obviously they hoped that we could feed them some delicious burgers (No, we did not, there is nothing good for their health, but they were well trained and did not try to take some of our hands : I like her good temperaments."
