Long Rifle Lodge - Palmer

Friendly staff, clean baths, food was good, price was reasonable and filled animals (taxiidermie) like the bears, mosque ox, mountain goat, birds and the log furniture all made the experience great! Dessert was apple crucible and chocolate chip cookie both covered with ice were fantastic. Our waiter Cole was friendly and helpful. Not to mention the magnificent view of the glacier from its veranda! Definitely a great place to bring visitors. The ride up has stunning views, so time to stop in the branch for some amazing pictures!

Beautiful hidden gem. The food here is delicious, always was. I have eaten here a few times as a child and a few times as an adult, and it's always a pleasure. They have two very friendly dogs that strip around and it made the experience that much better. Amazing view, amazing food, amazing service!

We were greeted by the chef who was very friendly. Our server did a nice job and even gave us some tips on what to do in the area. We ate the mountains outside. The food was served quickly and was perfect for our lunch. I had the fish tacos and they were delicious.

We were looking for lunch and that was one of the only spots in the area. The food was not bad, but the glacier view through the large windows and wooden decoration felt so cozy. There were many filled animals placed throughout the dining area. Alaskans love hunting! $16.75 Glacier Burger bacon Cheeseburger w/ crinkle cut fries: Burger was fine, decent boiled, not too dry. $19.75 Cod Sandwich w/ Onion Rings: Not bad, 2 crispy fried cods, crispy fried onion rings $19.75 salmon sandwich w/ Onion rings: salmon fillet looked like it was ground into a salmon cake form All sandwiches were served with roasted Ciabatta bread. $5 Blueberry Pie: This place should have good cake, so we decided to share the blueberry cake. All right. We had a pleasant, filling meal. The real star of the meal was the view.

Enjoyed lunch here after taking the glacier hike. The view looking over the glacier was great and the food and service were also great. Try the blueberry chipotle salmon tacos.
