As far as beaches go it's basically the only one available in Gladstone so it's okay on a nice day when the tide is in for a swim otherwise out of the question, if you are in the area head to Tannum beach a bit over 20ks south it's much nicer at all times. If you have a dog there's a stretch of beach called canoe pt which is off leash and also great for children as quite shallow. read more.
