"I don't rate the food at Central Lane. In terms of pubs it's quite average - burgers, schnitzels, steaks. The restaurant/bar area has about five main screens and a few smaller ones so it's more for watching your favourite Fox sports with dinner than going for a meal. The side salads I've had on two previous occasions have been a bit sad looking and the chicken wings were greasy. My boyfriend thought his burger was okay but nothing special. In saying that, they've held some nice larger end-of-year functions with good food so I'm not sure what the difference is.The live music is also pretty cool. I like the atmosphere of the place.The food is order at the cash register and take a buzzer. Pick up your food and cutlery and find a table. There's a mix of dining tables, bar tables with stool or booths with small tv screens."

"Our family had excellent meals at Ban Thai Gladstone on 2 different occasions during January & February. On both occasions, the food was extremely tasty & the service was excellent. Coming from Brisbane & having visited Thailand on 2 occasions, we feel Gladstone should be very pleased to have such a high quality restaurant in their main street. We wish our local Thai restaurant in Brisbane was as excellent as this restaurant!! Will definitely return again when visiting Gladstone to visit family next!"

"Service was really bad and so was the food. Lovely cocktails and so was the sweet potato wedges but that's about the only good thing. The tables where not wiped down so we need up with sticky substance on our arms. The nachos with pulled beef had one big lump of meat in the middle and no flavour. Asked for a plate to share some starters, the waitress acknowledge the request then never returned. Would not recommend the place based on this experience unless your just after a drink."

"Ordered the vegetarian pizza with vegan cheese (which I believe was bio cheese). Generous with toppings, Sun-dried tomatoes were nice but pumpkin could’ve been cooked longer. 45 min wait for food when it wasn’t really busy."

"We arrived here late on ANZAC Day from Airlie Beach after TC Debbie (ran away for a while). The staff were exceptionally kind and sympathised with our lack of power for 13 days and our lack of water for 11 days. They could see my wife was a bit emotional and offered her hugs (free of charge). The room was freshly updated and the feel of the whole hotel was cared for and welcoming. Special thanks to Maddy and Amy who looked after us so well. The food was reasonably priced, breakfast was excellent, and the wine flowed. We cannot but thank them all."
