"Amazing and varied homemade soups, scones and cakes, all on offer on a daily basis. Today I had Moroccan chicken soup with a treacle scone....strange mixture, I know, however, treacle scones are such a rarity these days and it was delicious. The cafe is now table service and staff are so friendly and engage with you when , first, they bring a bottle of water and glasses to your table. Love the sharing of tables, especially encouraged when it's busy.....which is most days over lunch period. When paying, consider a donation to allow a homeless person some nourishing food. Once visited, defy you not to revisit, it's so worth it."

"What a sound! absolutely gorgeous little jewel of a caffe not far from the city center of glasgow. my friends and I had speck pancakes and black pudding, i and chorizo spices fabulous taste and much of it, washed by some excellent coffee if I lived closer, my morning routine would change to include more regular visits."

"I've been in Beirut Star a few times and both the food and drink on each occasion has been sublime. The ingredients for both the food and drink are fresh, so the taste is excellent. "I'm here, really good food! both had to start bruscheta. Nice. only negatiw for me were the discs of the raw garlic in it. we both had it. we had huh and stornoway blackpudding on kartoffelmash and berry jus that was fantastic and penne arabbiata was great. we ordered garlic bread that was massive! Maybe next time order half a part. great food, service and wine. hidden gem and will be back!"

"I discovered this place by a friend and has been a regular customer since. they have a set menu that dosis do not see a set of change, but no need to fix something that is not broken. they are quite flexible and will absorb them as much as possible. the coffee is excellent. my favorite is her daily suppe it is never a standard tea or tomaten or lenses, but will be vegetable rich tasty dish that comes with a lot of brot on the side."

"Now this is what I call a proper sandwich. Excellent food! Bravo! The soups and the cakes are very good too but the sandwiches are simply perfect. Delicious, full of taste and flavour, generous fillings, so they didn't feel dry and they were toasted. Yum! Plus you get a salad on the side, which is just about right in terms of taste and freshness. I especially liked that it contained sundried tomatoes as they are my favourites. Thank you for the great food! Oh and the staff is very nice too. :"

"Pizzas were wonderful and superb value. The place needs some TLC. Seating is old sticky ripped cracked and way past its best. Service was lovely. Apparently the boys won't let them add tips onto your bill which I think is just awful. I'll be back with cash to tip the server."
