"It's a little unusual to be asked to order your dinner meal just after lunchtime but I did and I was very happy with the meal. I had the slow cooked venison for my mains and it was incredible. Very tasty and appeared to be a Western European style. Dessert was the home cooked vanilla and almond cheesecake and it had a good taste of vanilla without being overpowering."

"Didn’t expect to find any vegan food but this place had a couple options. Nice vegan burger, and lovely scenery"

"The Trading Post was one of my favourite dining experiences in New Zealand. It is in a picture perfect location near Lake Wakatipu and the Humboldt Mountains. Once you step inside, you'll feel immediately welcomed with the cosy decor and the welcoming hospitality of the stuff. We tried their oat biscuit, banana bread and the carrot cake, however my favourites were the latter two as they were both lightly sweetened with warming spices. Best of all they had such a soft and melt in your mouth texture! The coffee was also a delight and some of the strongest we had on our trip. If we ever come back to the area we will definitely return here."

"Not much options and too Amy people. The food is pretty average like standard work-lunch level, service was alright. Not too bad for a tourist place after all."

"This is one of two eateries near where the tour groups arrive and depart. We stopped here to grab lunch after or speed-boating adventure. There is a mix..."
