"Dropped in after the movies. just looking for a vegan meal and the menu suggested a few. Ordered an eggplant curry which was pretty good but we found the service disappointing for an almost empty restaurant. I don't understand how restaurant managers can't see that their greatest attraction is great, happy, welcoming staff. Without that your simply competing with every other place that just does food. A pity. I nominated Aloo as a recommendation only because I did not recognise any of the items mentioned above. Vegetarian options: They advertise a few vegan and vegetarian options. The food that we had was good and tasty but I thought that as vegan/veg meals are often cheaper to produce, they could win friends (and a reputation) for providing bigger than average meals. "Enjoyed a delicious vegan lunch, not that I’m vegan harissa cauliflower with baba ganoush, quinoa salad and capsicum sauce. Cauliflower wasn’t as spicy as I’d hoped but it was lovely nonetheless. Coffee delicious. Portuguese tart would have been improved with warming. Service efficient and...friendly. Large outdoor area under shade umbrellas, sign in and hand sanitiser were all good but had to wipe down my own table and chair which, sadly, seems to occur in many cafes nowadays but should be basic."

"Gold standard for rührei. when they cook for another caffe and make cube eggs, they must come here and try. so it should be done. the eggs are perfect and the speck crispy is on this way for 6 years, also with a change of the peculiarity! good work. I'm chuffed to read a few magazines! good work. this is my day. prost. greg. 03 feb, 2015 what happened to the big magazines? the coffee is great, atmosphere is great, the previous owners delivered great magazines to read, but the current owner could not be disturbed! greg."

"Public holiday, not much open it town so this place was busy. Staff managed to keep on top of everything, quickly clear tables, take orders and serve great food quickly. Try this place if you like flavoursome food. We had traditional cafe food (such as eggs on toast BLAT) as well as delicious asian inspired salad and felafel plate and it was all fantastic. We'll be back."

"We visited this cafe for a small bite for lunch and loved it.This is a vegetarian cafe and I describe the options as meat-less rather than full vegetarian fare. Just simple good food, prepared well that does not have meat. Between the four of us we had mushroom quiche, pumpkin and sundried tomato aranchini, pumpkin and fetta quiche with sweet potato garden salad.I had a blueberry thickshake along with my meal which was divine. My fetta quiche was light and fluffy and salad fresh and tasty.Loved the outdoor courtyard at the back. Very tranquil.Would definitely visit again if I was in the area again."

"This Japanese caffe is a real pleasure. I ordered the mushroom katsu, and my companion ordered the auberginen dengaku. both dishes were beautifully prepared and presented with beautiful aromas and combinations of ingredients. every detail, up to the rustic cherry and prompt and polite service, was well prepared and added to the experience. Veg*n dishes are identified on the menu, workers are helpful and worth knowing if they are not sure about budgets. bonus: outdoor seats, wood furniture and trees, garden suns."
