"Wow...this place is nice. I just happened to find it in Grey's Lake IL. This little place is super nice. The coffee and morning glory muffin were awesome! The selection here was crazy. I really like when I can find a place like this. I lucked out today. Make sure you do not miss this place if you are in the area. You won't be disappointed. Update:. Went back for breakfast the next morning and the food was awesome to service was great coffee was out of this world. Could not ask for a better place to eat. Update: went back everyday multiple times in a day and I was not disappointed."

"In town for work and place is walking distance so stopped in got a Sammie burger w/cheese. First bite all I could hear was Samuel L Jackson in my head…..if you don’t get reference, it’s a TASTY burger! Will definitely be back for price too. I only got the burger for $6 but combo is available for just couple dollars more."

"Updated review to add pictures: A COMMUNITY STAPLE! We've been to Fred's many times years ago but then we moved away. Now that we've moved back, we were hoping COVID-19 didn't close them down. We are so grateful that it's still there! Same great service from the same staff, same classic American menu, same feel-good/feels-like-home vibes. There's cool art pieces and pictures to commemorate local servicemen and women. Things we've ordered and enjoyed: Eggs Benedict, Spanish Omelette, Corned Beef Hash, Steak Eggs, pancakes, waffles, and all the classics. Great family-owned business to support!"
