I would give Portofino's 10,000 stars if I could. The atmosphere here is welcoming and feels like being part of a family. I've been coming to this restaurant for over 10 years now, and it still remains one of my top 5 favorite restaurants in Greenville. The Italian service staff here is the best I've ever encountered anywhere. The prices are also very reasonable. The menu offers a variety of options to suit any taste... View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Portofino's Italian:
The best part of this meal was the rolls. The calamari was over cooked. Four of us ate here for dinner and it was entirely to much cheese in every dish, it overpowered literally every other flavor. View all feedback.

It's a great place to dine alone, on a date, or with family. The bar can get pretty busy, but the bartenders are always in a great mood! Ciao.
We absolutely loved dining at this restaurant. The food was amazing and we even took some leftovers home. The service was exceptional, with a friendly host, efficient staff, and our waiter Shane going above and beyond to make our experience enjoyable. He took the time to explain the menu, offer suggestions, and ensure that our meal was served at the right pace. The other employees were also outstanding, with a young woman delivering our food promptly and a young man bringing out our appetizers. It was a relaxing and delightful evening, thanks to the great food and wonderful service.
I went to this restaurant with my friends looking to try something new. Unfortunately, none of us enjoyed our meals and had to send them back. The manager was very helpful and friendly, giving my friends suggestions for new dishes. They decided to reorder, but I did not. One of them still did not like their second choice, which is unusual for us as we are not picky eaters. To make matters worse, when it came time to pay, one of my friends was charged an extra $7.00 for ordering an appetizer as an entree. The reason given was to cover the cost of the complimentary salad and bread. My other friend did enjoy the lasagna they ordered, but overall, we were not impressed with the food quality. We will not be returning to this restaurant, as the issue lies with the food rather than the staff. Additionally, the unexpected upcharge was not mentioned beforehand or listed on the menu.
Let me just begin by having low expectations (not against portofinos, only eating in gvl is not always the best), but wow that changed my mind quickly. as soon as they go in the hostess is sweet and attentive. we almost immediately set ourselves to what the manager seemed to be(love that if he were. our server, shane was also amazing. it was a packed house, but he ensured that he was often over and let our drinks come. I never waited for a refill, amazinggg. eating was soou tasty and these garlic rolls go try this place if you havent.
Absolutely ingenious seating staff. they were so nice during our waiting period. it was a very busy Saturday night! that was excellent! this evening we celebrated two birthdays. it was wonderful, all the way around!
