I have been going to Paisano’s for years for lunch and dinner. Although I understand many restaurants lost staff during the pandemic, this restaurant apparently had a problem filling staff for their lunch crowd once businesses could reopen and opted to be dinner only. The handful of long time, terrific wait staff is still there, but you only see them sporadically when open for dinner during the week and on weekends. The homey ambiance of the owner and his wife visiting tables and chatting with diners is gone. Also is the quality of food, which – from dishes I have ordered now tastes like reheated, stale leftovers. I hope they are not closing. They are one on a handful of excellent sit down restaurants left in East Greenville with comfortable seating, flooring that isn’t base concrete, and a place where you can get a satisfying, filling meal.
