Had a few very relaxing visits to the Avocado Bar while we were visiting Grindelwald. Good selection of beers and very friendly staff.

Loved this bar after a long walk :) The atmosphere is so chilled and calming with a good view !! Would definitely recommend

"I wandered the town of GrIndelwald before returning to Onkel Tom's Hutte. It caught my eye due to its charming outside eating area which is equally matched by its interior. The staff here couldn't be more helpful. Demand for tables was high and service took a few minutes due to its popularity but well worth the wait. I wanted my pizza tailored to my tastes and they didn't hesitate to help by adding my choice of preferred toppings. The pizza was excellent as was the salad I started with. Notable were the reasonable prices charged by this restaurant as compared with many I've visited whilst in Switzerland. I wouldn't hesitate to return."

"Einfach hervorragend, von A-Z. Man fühlt sich willkommen von der ersten Minute an. Die Alpstube weiss bereits als Lokal zu begeistern, ist architektonisch ein Highlight, da stimmt einfach alles. Die Bedienung ist immer persönlich und sehr freundlich. Essen und Wein ein Traum. Ich genoss das Hirsch-entrecôte, der Teller ein Kunstwerk, Gaumen und Zunge jubeln. "Extremely rude staff They hate tourists but their livelihood depends on it. First when we entered the restaurant they said the back is booked so we sat in front but when other people came in they were welcomed to the area so n the back where they said is booked. I asked why then they started mumbling and making up answers. They called it a stupid question that why their business is tourist based but they depend on tourist."

"A lively restaurant/bar in a safe location. A popular place for locals and tourists, the food and service is good at a consistent level. It is very busy so sit back and relax and enjoy the afternoon or the evening. I spend 2 weeks every April in Interlaken and this is my favorite stop. This is a high energy operation and you will see that the owner/brauenmeister Shepy on the ground keeps everything smoothly as possible. The servers and bartenders are always on the run and I love the energy level. I'll be there in 2024 if you happen to be there until the bar and a cold one with me."
