This was mine and my husband’s first experience at Vestige, and it exceeded all of our expectations! The atmosphere was intimate, wait staff were so kind and knowledgeable, drinks were great, and the food….. phenomenal! Our waiter, though I don't remember his name, was so nice and great at explaining each dish. We enjoyed every course! Setting a reservation was super easy, and we were even able to be seated 10-15 min... View all feedback.
The best experience i and my wife have in Biloxi, the food is amazing, so delicious, it an Japanese technique mixed with western style( for what I feels), the quality is top notch, each bite is an excellent we finish everything last drop. Good portion, the menus is changing weekly and monthly, so we know we would have different experience everytime, this is one of the reason we want to come back to Biloxi. And hidden gem. You need to try when you in town.
Beautifully prepared, visually stunning dishes. Every bite was a treat of flavors and textures. This is definitely a one-of-a-kind find in Mississippi!
I don’t even know where to begin but im going to be honest. I know a lot of people are interested in experiencing this and will spend a lot of money on it. I, along w others i was with, were fully aware of the small plates. So please don’t get me wrong. We are not ignorant. Some things were amazing. Some things were ‘ok’. Some things were straight up lies. I wouldn’t call them a misrepresentation, I wouldn’t even call them false advertising. That’s giving them too much credit. Lies are lies. Some things on the menu were not fresh. It was obvious that they had been sitting for a while in a fridge. Im talking about the crab tartlet. It wasn’t that good. It was like eating a bite of freezer burnt key lime pie with a drop of crab at the end. Not appealing. The next tasting was the ‘royal red’. Here is where one of my issues are. You are not going to get a royal red. You aren’t going to get any royal red. The piece of bait shrimp i was served was the size of my pinky finger, batter and all! And there was A LOT of batter. A royal red by definition is a HUGE shrimp. Lobster like. I thought we would all get one royal red for our small plate. No! You get no royal reds at all. Looks like they paid a kid to toss a cast net and get what bait shrimp they could. They heavily battered it and gave you 2. 2 heavily battered shrimp that might total the size of your pinky if you are lucky. I can’t even explain to you the disappointment and the shock when it wasn’t presented. The shrimp were so small that its hard to describe. Its like getting a gummy worm and cutting it in half. It was not only disappointing, it was an outright lie. You will not be getting a royal red. A royal red is a huge shrimp. We live on the gulf. It was an insult to our intelligence. The miso soup is the same exact thing you get in a styrofoam cup from your local asian restaurant. They just bought a craft cutter, cut a piece of pumpkin the size of a nickel and toss it in there w some green onions. Fyi you will only get like 1/3 cup of it. The fresh gulf catch was amazing. I wish i had an entire portion entree of it. You only get a 1x1 inch cube. One of the best things i have ever eaten even though they exaggerated ingredients. They called the ingredients by the wrong name or lied about what was in it. I would have paid 100 for a decent appetizer, their bread and a full entree of the fresh catch (tilefish). They like to use terms their customers won’t understand so its seems very fancy and intimidating. The 1-2 oz of wagyu had great flavor. Loved the fiddleheads. It was reduced heavily in butter and salt. Super super salty but good. The most embarrassing part was that it was actually served on an old and dry magnolia leaf. So every time we cut a piece of steak to eat, we had to scrape off the pieces of magnolia leaf that crumbled underneath it before we could take a bite. It was a disaster. The steak was cooked perfectly through. The cocktails, my goodness, the cocktails were some of the best I have ever had in my life. Our server was making them himself and he did a killer job. The atmosphere was very cold. Not welcoming at all. Very dingy. Very quiet Any talking or laughing could be heard by everyone in the restaurant. We were in the middle and could hear the female server ridiculing the customers. That’s how quiet it is. It makes things uncomfortable to ask a question or make a complaint. There is no music, other customers were whispering or scared to talk at all. Like I said, some things were amazing and some were horrible. If they would open a bar and serve appetizers, we would travel to eat here on a regular basis. Wish pictures would have been taken but nobody felt comfortable doing so.Don’t know if i will be back. Don’t care about the . Even if its ‘small plates’, you shouldn’t misrepresent what you serve, the atmosphere was uncomfortable to say the least, most of the food was not the quality that was expected. We were all looking forward to eating here. We waited a long time. Don’t take my word for it. Go see for yourself.
Visited from out of state. Saw this was a James Beard nominated restaurant. Went here for our wedding anniversary. Food was excellent. Fine dining experience. Causal attire. Service was friendly and informative. Worth the trip. Can’t wait to return.
All of the dishes included in the tasting menu reflected considerable skill and were all delicious.
