When we arrived at Gubbio it was time for coffee. This was the first cafe we found after we parked the car at the outskirts of GUBBIO. The coffee was excellent, the staff were friendly and the price was right. Very reasonable for a popular spot like Gubbio. "This place was recommended by our estate agent and he was right: the food was amazing, service was very good (friendly and good timing), location superb, but...as they don 't have a printed menu you have no idea about the prices. The surprise comes at the end and they clearly use different prices for locals and tourists. We got a bill of 76 Euro for lunch (1 antipasti, 2 primi, 2 secondi, 1/2 ltr aqua, 1/2 ltr red wine, 2 coffee, 1x vegetable 2x coperti. They must have felt that is was too high and reduced the bill to 60 Euro, which is still on the high side. Looking at other recensions I estimate that the 'normal ' price, including desert should be around 40 Euro for 2 people. So let 's say 20-25 Euro p.p.. We will come back for their amazing food, but will have a chat with the owner before sitting down."
