This was just a quick beer and curry in the Astolat after work on a Sunday evening, but my colleagues and I were most pleasantly surprised. We chose to eat here because of the proximity to the station, but apart from the small but good selection of beers, the absolute stand out for us was the food. We all kept saying how delicious it was and at takeaway prices too! I can't recommend it highly enough! read more.

I’ve eaten there on and off for some years. While the staff are lovely, I’ve tried hard to find something nice. My go to is chicken tikka but I’ve tried various other dishes. The tikka is sliced chicken with a lot, and I mean a lot, of onion. Some of the curries are tolerable, but there’s a lot better out there at similar prices. read more.
