Very impressed with both the food and the service. Really nice atmosphere and well cooked elevated brasserie style food. Steak tartare was a delight, my fish was well coked and the desert was good if not overly exciting. A very reliable restaurant if you're ever in doubt of where to go. View all feedback.
What Sam C doesn't like about Côte Bistro:
Delivery was 'enjoyable. ' The fish stew was so badly packaged the delivery guy didn 't make it to the door. How about using a proper soup container and tightly wrapping it in cling film to prevent spillage in transit? I like Cote, but they need to sort out their delivery game and fast. View all feedback.
So impressed with Cote Guildford yesterday. We went for my birthday and unfortunately we were late but they were so understanding. Every member of staff was so friendly and wished me Happy Birthday! The candle in my dessert and the extra effort they all went to was really appreciated. Thank you all so much. Plus the food was delicious!
We went to Cote in Guildford last night for Valentine's Day and it was absolutely wonderful! The food and service was amazing (as always) but what really got me was the lovely flowers and heart confetti on the table- my boyfriend had made the booking and had left a note basically saying it was for Valentines and could they do something romantic (or something along those lines) and they really went above and beyond! It was so sweet and completely unexpected, I just wanted to give them a shout out, because they're always so friendly and professional in there, but that was such a lovely touch! Thank you!
Great service! but the tuna was over cooked a bit.... presentation was fantastic. Will be backbto try the sirloin steak soon.
Wonderful brunch with friends here on Sunday. They have plenty of seating, some fantastic breakfast/brunch options and really speedy and friendly service. Coffee was also good so we were very impressed with our visit and will definitely return to check out the champagne brunch deal (any breakfast dish, glass of champagne and juice or coffee for £17.95) Tip- if you’re driving into town then it’s best to park at the Castle Street or Sydenham Road car park and wander down to the restaurant.
Went for a pre theatre dinner with friends. Starters were nice and most of the mains were ok but I had the steak frites and i think it should have been marketed as cardboard and frites. It was so dry, so tough and so tasteless it was disgusting……worst steak I have ever had. I’ve been to cote before and had this and it was lovely but not tonight. Although the staff were very friendly we were having a conversation about restaurant chains and the opinion of the waiter was not asked for or appreciated. It’s certainly put me off going there again
