While some guests appreciated the reasonably priced wine, good food, and attentive service, others were disappointed by long wait times, understaffing, and parking issues. The ambiance of the restaurant varied depending on where you dined, with the bar offering a more vibrant atmosphere. Special occasions like Valentine's Day or a 90th birthday celebration were well received, showcasing well-presented, high-quality menus. Overall, the restaurant is worth a visit if you are in Guildford and looking for a centrally located dining option.
I visited with my partner for afternoon tea in the restaurant and I must say we enjoyed it very much. the food was fresh, tasty and well presented. the service was very good, all staff were friendly and attentive. we will return again!
I've been staying. always a great place to eat. I have to say that breakfast quality has improved. the host and the service were very good.
Visited for appetizers. Maybe waitress was new? but unfortunately she was very poor. ordered cocktails and we asked if a native mojito (on the menu) could be produced with alcohol. she said no! when I pointed out that it was only integrated. she said she checked the bar. when it came, it was very bad quality. second round we decided for gin. ordered our selection and one because later said they no longer have the tonika on the menu? after waiting were attempted to cancel the order, but it came a few seconds later. no lemon, limette, garnish. nothing! to these trips in a hotel this is completely unacceptable. would not recommend. I'm sorry.
Last week. fantastic place, would recommend to anyone who visits the opposite, ., severice was good, friendly care folk just great.
We had an early pre-theatre dinner (this venue is almost opposite G-Live so a great location for pre-theatre eats). Disappointed to see we were the only customers so therefore the atmosphere was a wee bit lacking however the food was excellent. All dishes beautifully prepared...and presented. Nothing fancy, the good ingredients just spoke for themselves. Excellent and attentive service (would expect as we were the only ones dining) we would definitely visit again for a pre-theatre dinner.
