"I’m going to sound like a w*nker for saying this, but I expected V Spot to be more like a restaurant than a takeaway. We rang up and booked, although I don’t think we needed to on this occasion. From the decent-sized menu my companion chose the chicken Hawaiian and we agreed on the Italian, and split a family size pizza between the two varieties. It was pretty good, with commercial vegan meats and cheese, and cut into small squares rather than slices, making it easier to eat. At $27 for a family-size meat pizza with $1.50 for the split, it was reasonable and in keeping with other pizza restaurants I’ve been to, which have large (smaller than family) pizzas in the low $20s. The ambience was lacking a bit though. There were also a few packaged vegan food products on sale, including some big-brand ice creams (of which we did buy one). This business is up for sale, so support it if you want the new owners to keep it vegan."

"My partner and I were greeted with excellent service and were guided through a number of vegan options. The veg paella is vegan (and was very delicious), and almost all of the sides were able to be made vegan. There were also a couple of delicious options off the menu too chickpea fritters being one of them. "So glad we were recommended this restaurant. Hahndorf is lovely but not very vegan friendly. We arrived to a warm welcome from the staff and were given the extensive menu that has meals to satisfy any diet or allergy. I had the corn and zucchini fritters and they were delicious! As were the fried mushrooms and cauliflower! If your in Hahndorf, drop in for an amazing meal, great service and lively staff!"

"Just had a cracking Irish Stew washed down with quality Draught Guinness, while enjoying live Irish ballads. Who would have thought a genuine Irish experience was sitting here in Hahndorf?Seriously good evening topped off with unique Irish whiskey. Really friendly staff and owners. Highly recommended.Can't wait to come back.Oh, and they bake Irish breads too... I mean, seriously, get that in your belly!"

"Had a lovely brunch in the heart of Hahndorf. What a great find. Service was a bit on the slow side which reduced my overall rating to 4 stars. On a side note. I commented to the manager on how good the food photography was and the value of it promoting the food, which lead to a delightful chat. She was so lovely."
