We ate here twice during October half term amazing pub where we were made to feel very welcome. Staff and locals were incredibly friendly. Food was delicious, Steak and Ale pie was the best I have had anywhere, Fish and chips were also fab. Portions were huge and great value for money. Great atmosphere with a wonderful log fire. We gave 1 for the gardens as that’s all we could sample. Finding the venue on TI and being nearby it looked very acceptable. We arrived at exactly 2pm on Friday Sept 8th to be told the restaurant closed at 2 o’clock? So why are the hours listed as 12:00 to 11pm for Fridays? All we were offered we’re drinks. read more.
