What Travellerclass likes about The Royal Standard:
We stopped here after walking around Hastings Old Town area and beach. We sat outside and had drinks in the sun which was relaxing. The service was very good and the samples of beer on offer a great idea as the first one I tried was not for me. The second was perfect. Would certainly call in again if we are in Hastings. "We had afternoon tea and everything was delicious, lovely sandwiches, warm scones and tasty cakes. The cakes were proper sliced cakes and not the silly little taster cakes you can sometimes get. A lovely warm welcome from all the staff and we were given a box to take home what we couldn't eat. The best high tea we have ever had. We will definitely be going back again."
