Went in on a Saturday afternoon and ordered baguettes. They were just about closed for food but were happy to make them and they were really good. Nice, friendly people, very reasonable prices. Would definitely go back View all feedback.
What Alex Robertson doesn't like about The Heroes:
Visited after being in the wetherspoons next door. My wife had a small bottle of prosecco and that cost twice as much as the same drink next door. Staff did say it was expensive , so were fair. Staff were polite. Pub has great spaces.. the bar area, sports screen etc. Not a bad place but must be hard to compete having a spoons next door. View all feedback.
Lovely place that is trying to do something new and different other than your standard cover live music band, and are hosting Latin Dance lesson and evenings, teacher there is fantastic. Owner/management of the place are clearly creative and wants to try new things, however service is so slow even on quite night.
Really good proper pub. Great music on a Saturday night as well.
The pub was nice, but they did not have any food available. I ended up just having a drink.
OMG! What has happened. Stopping happy hour until 6pm is such an error… so many regulars have decamped to Wetherspoons. It’s so sad because we love the Heroes and support it as a great local pub but the cynical move to stop happy hours between 3-5 is just upsetting.
Worst pub ever, got kicked out for no reason, all because one of the bar staff has been staring at me all night.
