What User doesn't like about Two sticks:
There are thousands of asian restaurants in Sydney. I am fond of many of them. But definitely not Two Sticks. The service at this restaurant was not very good, I will admit that upfront. My friend and I were both very hungry after a long walk searching for dinner. Normally, I am not a fan of Yunnan rice noodles, but since my friend mentioned them again, I decided to give them another try. I was pleasantly surprised and completely sold on the rice noodles. My tomato beef noodle dish looked and tasted more like spaghetti, but the soup was fresh and thick with lots of ingredients. The sour cabbage fish noodle had tender fish, but I felt the sourness was lacking. The saliva chicken had a great sauce, but the chicken was a bit tough and the pieces were too big. Overall, it was a satisfying and hot dinner on a cold windy evening.
The spicy dry noodles were decent. They came in a good portion, was very filling towards the end. The sauce is Lao gan ma which made the dish pretty oily
The customer service at this restaurant is excellent. The Hot Numbing Beef Rice Noodle Soup is delicious. The ambiance is comfortable. I highly recommend this restaurant if you are craving Chinese food.
