Stayed 2 nights at this lovely farmhouse set in unspoilt countryside. Hosts were very welcoming ...loved the cider. Our room was spacius with good refreshment tray (fresh milk), excellent bed and pillows, had the best night sleep I have had for ages . The house is surrounded by the apple and pear orchards and we enjoyed walking through them to the near by pub. We found it a perfect spot for visiting the beautiful and... read more.

This is a really different restaurant with only 6 or so tables and no credit cards (takes cheques). All that said the food and atmosphere is just wonderful. We...

"I was in the house last night with some friends, and it was such a wonderful night. I participated in veganuary and decided to go on and this restaurant made me so welcome and made the whole experience so easy! one of the most vegan friendly places I visited and it is right at our doorstep! the owner even came out to explain my options and ask if I was satisfied with them all. such a wonderful experience from a meaty restaurant and eating was also amazing (as it is always! many thanks for a great night."

"Popped in on the way to our B&B after a full day at The Oldfield Forge. The inn was recommended by staff there and it didn't disappoint. A warm and chatty welcome upon arrival and then after a drink we both ordered a FULL MOON burger. A top-notch burger with some of the crispiest fries ever. The inn had a warm inviting feel with families and children happily playing in the beer garden."

"A very warm welcome from the team at The Oak Inn Staplow! We came as a family for Christmas Eve and tucked into a mixture of meals from roast sirloin nested in the mother of all yorkshires, chicken leek pie, sausage and mash and fish pie and the food did not disappoint with good prices and a hefty portion for all! Big shout out to the head chef Leo. Also big thanks to the wonderful team who were attentive, a very wholesome set of Carol singers to top it off. Overall an amazing evening!"
