"For the fourth time, having checked that roast beef and roast chicken were on the menu, I finally got to the end of the queue to be told neither were available. Complained to a member of staff who told me it wasn't her problem, complained to the manager who told me the same, and that he was of too low a grade to do anything about it. Some customer service!"

"Appreciated the option of having Alpro oat milk in my mocha which was very nice and at the right temperature and stayed warm whilst I drank it. Hubby enjoyed his hot chocolate and his bacon brie and cranberry toastie. Nice he said. I thought my...cheese and tomato toastie (panini bread) with sesame seeds was gorgeous. Toasties came with French fries and salad in a very strong vinaigrette. Very clean with tables sanitised in between customers. Happy staff."

"My friends and me go to creams for our special occasions. We ordered and when it arrived they were missing my extras I added. When I asked the staff said I hadn’t ordered any but I had the receipt showing them. And the things we did order from the menu were missing items too! It’s like the staff didn’t know the menu themselves. We had a crepe which was more like a wafer, super crispy… The waffles were messy like didn’t have the whole shape made, perhaps not enough batter was used in the machine. The staff handed the items that were missing with their hands (no gloves) or even a napkin to hand the wafers over with. And whilst the staff were making our order she had her dirty phone in one hand and the sauce bottle in the other, I saw no hand washing either. And there was a hair on the plate too!’ We decided as a group not to come here again because it’s just gone downhill since our last visit which wasn’t great but better than this time…"

"We visited the park and café to meet up with friends, as we'd been told about the legendary Rowlestone ice-cream. Our group had children ranging from years to The kids enjoyed the park areas and there was fun to be had for every age. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We all loved the ice creams, and big variety of flavours to choose from. As an added bonus they had gluten free cones available, which always cheers up my ceolic children, who often feel excluded when their friends are enjoy their cones, whilst mine normally have to settle for tubs. I had an Earl Grey which was lovely, they also catered for dairy allergies and I was offered a choice of oat milk, soya or almond, which I was surprised at, as so many other places don't put themselves out to offer alternatives. I advise going, even if you don't have children as the café is great, as is the view and setting."
