"Great old world pub great atmosphere well worth a visit when your in the area. Good menue large portions what ever you choose. So mutch so 4 of us could not manage a sweet after starter of bread and dips of garlic and olive oil and one of oil and balsamic vinigar then main course great value. Staff could not be more helpful. "We really enjoyed our visit to this traditional pub. There was a good range of pub grub on the menu including faggots and some lovely pies and it was very reasonably priced. Really clean and friendly. Would definitely recommend a visit."

"How things can change up or down last year this was a great coffee bar, well trained excellent staff, perfect coffee and a super atmosphere. Last week was just about one of the worst coffee stops ever. Rubbish coffee in paper cups made by staff who just did not seem to care. It is not difficult to make decent coffee why do so many chains just not get it !! ?? They expect us to pay good money for rubbish service, OK well just vote with your feet. Won't be here again."

"We came for breakfast and had the smoked salmon and scrambled eggs and the full English. Both were very generous portions and tasted amazing. The staff were polite and there’s a lovely garden area at the back. Would definitely recommend and would go back again to sample some more of the menu"

"Came here for the first time in Dec 2023. It was a lovely atmosphere with the warm glow of the woodburner upon us opening the door to enter and the dogs that we love being around. We sat down at our reserved table and the waitress came to take out order. It was a busy night but food came out relatively quickly and we can honestly say this is the best tasting food we have had in a long while. We ordered the game pie and the beef bourguignon and the taste was divine. A very large table booking then arrived and we did have to wait for the plates to be cleared and we asked for a dessert menu and we now ordered the baileys and chocolate cheesecake, this was a gorgeous compliment to end our fabulous meal. We are so glad we have found this restaurant and will definitely be back. It was very reasonably priced costing £61 for 2 mains 2 desserts and 2 pints. Keep up the good work we will return and sing your praises for all to hear!"
