we have heated ersatz ribs that were really unbeatable. it was such a bed that we couldn't get half the plate and it was very expensive.

"We have eaten at Bärenwirt three times now and every time has been exceptional. You can choose between traditional Austrian specialities or the chef's own more modern creations. Everything is freshly prepared from scratch with mostly local ingredients and a huge amount of effort is...put into the food and many components (oxymel, distilled medlar juice etc. you would never find anywhere else. The service is friendly and knowledgable and all this for 34 euros for three courses! The owners have also recently renovated an old house on the opposite side of the square to the restaurant which has beautiful rooms to rent and a delicatessen and cookery school on the ground floor."
