"Three seniors drove down from Calgary to check out High River and see how they are doing four years after the flood. We picked Rio Alto for dinner.We started by sharing an order of Chorizo Queso Fundido. It was good although the cheese on top could have been melted a bit more. Two of our party then shared an order of the Rio Alto Sombrero Platter: empanadas, hard tacos, hopes, enchiladas and soft tacos. They enjoyed each item. I ordered the Azteca Lasagna. It was tasty, nicely spiced and very filling. One small complaint; although the majority of the dish was nice and hot, a small amount of the bottom of the lasagna was not heated through and was somewhat cool.Service was reasonably quick although it took two requests to get my glass of water."

"We tried the Calgary location a few years ago and were very pleased with the food. When we discovered another location in Okotoks we decided to stop by for lunch and get some fish and chips. We got one serving of haddock and one of cod. Though the chips were as we remembered the fish was disappointing. I enjoyed the haddock more than the cod whereas my wife, ever the contrarian, favoured the cod more. What might be a bit of a shock is the smallish portion provided for your $20 in Canadian currency. Larger appetites might prepare themselves to add a few additional sides to their meal. Luckily we opted for that and had added coleslaw to our order. It was light, creamy and delicious. The folks manning the restaurant were pleasant enough and greeted us kindly upon arrival. We may return in the future but that has more to do with other available offerings and if this location is even open when we're around as they have limited open days as you'll see on their web page. Parking: Parking was a bit difficult as they only have street parking available. Look at the location on the map and find yourself a spot nearby."

"Busy place. Excellent pho broth is very tasty. We moved from Okotoks to Calgary but still go back. Their pork spring rolls are the best crispy and densely wrapped and flavour of filling is Delish. We always get a double order! Subs are very good too!"

"It started out promising but quickly became a disaster. We had the Saganaki with all the fanfare, it was very good according to my friend. Then its started,... waited over an hour for main course and when it arrived it was awful. We had the...Kota and the Moshari, the entire diner was terrible. We were very disappointed with everything. Management made no attempt to remedy the situation and they knew we weren't happy. We would never recommend this restaurant."

"Always amazing staff. Great food. we like to have a good old fashioned German dinner. But i didnt have enough Spetzel. But sweetgrass had some.thank goodness! none of the family even new we didnt make it.?"
