"The fish shack had much to live up to. It certainly delivered on a wet and blustery Ullapool day. Not much dry seating when the weather was wet. The haddock wrap was super fresh and the Cullen Skink delicious. Top marks."

"Booked in October 2021 to stay here for 5 days in April 2022 only to be told in February 2022 when I phoned to enquiring about off site amenities they told me they had sold the motel at Christmas and couldn't guarantee new owners would honour our booking why they didn't have the DECENCY let us know so we could find alternative accommodation before everywhere was booked as this is a popular location TOTALLY UNPROFESSIONAL ATTITUDE"

"I have enjoyed ices, cakes and Zaatar chicken and Persian bread on several occasions from this wonderful little cafe and takeaway. the food is always scrumtious, the service immaculate, friendly and efficient and they also serve fantastic tea, a rare thing these days. I look forward to returning"

"Stayed 2 nights, Friday/Saturday ready to catch ferry to Stornoway on Sunday. Room very comfortable and clean, continental breakfast excellent, a fair choice. Kelly very helpful. When I booked they were still doing evening meals, but when I arrived they had stopped doing them, but Kelly, again very helpful, and told me where I could get one nearby. The only draw back was the noise on the Saturday night, please be aware if you want peace and quiet."

"Thank goodness for the Ceilidh Place staying open in October when every other place has given up and shut up at end of the season. While waiting for ferry to Stornoway we were looking for a place to sit and have tea/coffee but Ullapool has few places open at this time of year. Asked in Calmac office where was open and they suggested the Ceilidh Place. So many people waiting for the ferry wandering around looking for somewhere to go and sit in. Well done the lovely Ceilidh Place for providing a much needed service. Will use in the future."

"Lovely hotel- modern bedroom in outside wooden chalet with huge shower/bathroom. V comfy bed. Internet good, excellent choice of food in the evening and nice wine . View of the Summer Isles was good even though the weather was iffy. Umbrella provided in room. Spent a pleasant afternoon chilling in the bar! Highly recommended to anyone on NC500."
