a beautiful toilet stop, unfortunately a rare event now in the region highland, where the rat closed most public loos or a charge on old stinking dirty facilities. so it should be clean, fresh and by donation. the caffe next door. is also nice to bake house. if this is a community centre, then well done! "We didn’t have a booking but the restaurant fitted us in which we really appreciated. We were not disappointed the food was exceptional and so was the service. The menu is small, but perfect. We all ordered a different main course and none of us were disappointed. I have a starter again, beautiful and the rest of the party a dessert again fantastic. The complimentary soup was a nice touch too. It was the first evening of our stay and it could not have been any better. A really great restaurant. Thank you."

"What a nice hotel. we thought there was only coffee and cake while we were buried on the hole, but we were pleasantly surprised by the service and our food. the building and the grounds are beautiful, full of character and magnificent view over the hole. the staff was very friendly and helpful. only a minute walk through the forest area are the ruins of the old castle. many parking spaces in the hotel when they drive."

"Well where do I start! We booked at 3pm for a 7pm table. No other bookings in diary should have rang alarm bells! So we arrive, are taken to a table, we are sat in the corner of what can only be described as a room with tables! There was no background music, no pictures on the walls nothing! Wipe clean glittery table clothes that felt sticky. We were handed a menu card, my partner asked if there was a set meal which was met with a glazed over look! We ordered a bottle of wine between the three of us. Then ordered starters. When they came out we asked for them to be laid out across the centre of the table and for extra plates so we could share starters! This again was met with a glazed over look, but we got the requested plates. Shortly later the most bizarre moment I have ever come across in a “restaurant” happened! A gentleman dressed in full Lycra suit came through the centre of the restaurant along with his pushbike! He stopped had a conversation with another customer and then carried on his merry way. At this point we asked for our bill. To our amazement the staff were shocked we didn’t want to stay for mains! The whole experience set us back £40 for three starters and a bottle of Pinot! It is the quickest I have ever drank a bottle of wine! Most definitely do not recommend and won’t be back!"
