I had a fantastic experience at this restaurant. The quad bike trail was amazing, especially the path we followed. The bike was a bit heavier than what I was used to from other locations, but still manageable. The price was a bit high, at 54 pounds per person for the trail. My son had a great time riding the little Landys, and the coordinator/trainer was excellent. View all feedback.

Stunning backdrop and lovely stroll. Charming little takeout/gift shop with incredibly friendly staff. Easy parking with attendants and clean restroom facilities. Delighted to have made a pit stop on our journey.
What do you imagine when you think of visiting the Scottish Highlands? Of traversing the mountain trails, split lochs of windows into the underwater world of rainbow trout, views framed by the brazen frost-tipped Cairngorms? Of the Monarch of the Glen prancing between moss-soaked pines and pebbled streams? Fields of grazing Highland Cows? The best place to experience this is at the Rothiemurchus Centre with Quad Trekking and Fishery, just outside of Aviemore. I went with my partner, for quad trekking first, grouped with a family of four and a lone ranger, we were led by Maisy through the lands below the Cairngorms. Whoever you are (or aren't with), this is a must-do, must-see place with activities to everybody's tastes. We had an hour cruising through streams, mud pits, up and down rocky paths and twisting turns. We encountered the Highland Cows with all their sass and pride up close. Maisy, our guide, was very knowledgeable on the land and surrounding scenery, with a light-hearted and friendly personality. Overall, fishing for rainbow trout or coursing tracks, it's for the calm-nature types and for thrill-seekers alike. An amazing experience, thank you!
Fabulous walk around Loch an Eilein on Boxing day. Lovely scenery and a decent walk for us all and the dogs. Great photo opportunities and can get out of the rain in the woods if the weather is poor.
Rothiemurchus is great! We've done a lot over the years quad bikes, mountain bikes, coo tour and feeding the deer! Always worth a look around the shop, and the Barn has great food (particularly the cheese scones!
