We were given a very warm welcome. The restaurant is run by a lovely family. The pizzas are heavenly and the desserts delicious.

"A beautiful hotel and restaurant on NC 500 route. EV charging station in the lay-by at the front of the hoo. Room was lovely, nice big bed, double shower, complimentary sherry was a lovely touch. Restaurant was excellent, wish we’d stayed two nights. Food was delicious. Salmon steak on a pea risotto, Rooms: Beautifully furnished, nice sized room, comfy bed, lovely bathroom. Fully equipped with tea and coffee etc. milk in a flask to keep it cold, Singapore. Walkability: Reasonable accessibility. Varrich castle is around a 2 mile walk, definitely worth the trek uphill, well signposted. Views weee amazing Rooms: 5 Service: 5 Location: 5 Hotel highlights: Luxury, Great view, Romantic, Quiet"

"Settled back from the road it’s lucky there are signs for this gem of a restaurant/pub/hotel. We were lucky to get one of the last seats on a busy Wednesday night. The menu is full of lots of delicious choices and the staff are really friendly (as are the locals! The portions are a good size and the food is mouthwatering (especially the sticky toffee pudding! I had the goats cheese salad, beer battered fish chips and sticky toffee pudding. My dad had the lobster bisque, breaded fish chips and apple pie. Their covid regulations make you feel safe whilst dining, including a one way system for the toilet to make sure you don’t bump into anyone. If you are driving the NC500 or staying locally make sure this place is on your list of places to visit. It is also perfectly situated for one of the most beautiful views."
