This is the second time we've eaten here and both times we had a great experience. This time we had the bratwurst and the pork schnitzel. Both were very good. The spetzel, sauerkraut, cabbage, and onions were excellent accompaniments. We also tried the German potato salad and it was very good. Portion sizes are fairly large too. Service was excellent. After eating all that we tried a couple of desserts. It was a mist... View all feedback.
What Michael Schuett doesn't like about Alpine Inn:
It is one of the best places to eat in the Black Hills. Cash only. Food, whether lunch or dinner, is amazing. Deserts are a must. Great service, almost always. We are relatively frequent customers. View all feedback.
Love this place! My husband saved her dinner menu and we recently discovered that she served lunch with so many more options! I wasn't excited...
This is the deal. You only accept cash and don't worry if you don't like it. They only have two options for dinner, and they...

My husband and I were on vacation in the Black Hills this week and met with some friends in Hill City who recommended the Alpine Inn. I have Celiac disease and I am gluten-free. Our server was very friendly and also know about keliac and gluten-free diets. The bacon wrapped fillet mignon was made perfect. Being gluten-free, I had my meal without the Texas Toast. The salad wedge with Ranch Dressing was delicious and refreshing, although a little less ranch would have been good. Next time I know to ask it on the page. For dessert I enjoyed one of their two gluten-free options, the cream brule that is my favorite dessert. It was heavenly. I recommend the Alpine Inn to everyone, including everyone with Celiac or who is gluten-free for any health reason. We will definitely come back. Pretty friendly.
We drove from Sheridan Wyoming to eat in the alpine inn. The ride really worth it! The smell of German foods when you go into is amazing! The food was to die, I love every time we go there. the place is always packed, but the waiting staff is so friendly and the food is delivered quickly and perfectly. Love it
