Best vegan okonomiyaki I've had. There are many regular options, but also three vegan options. Including vegan sauces and vegan side dishes such as gyoza. It's truly delicious. You have to wait in line for a bit, but when we were there it went pretty quickly and it was definitely worth it. View all feedback.
What James Y doesn't like about Nagataya:
Waited an hour from starting in line to getting my food. The food itself had no problems but waiting an hour in line for it is just not worth it. The portions were really big and I was stuffed finishing it all. They have an English menu and it’s pretty close to the peace memorial park. I would only recommend coming if there is no line. A very popular restaurant with lots of tourists. We waited 1.5 hrs in line on a Saturday evening. I got the classic w/ garlic, beef offal, and butter oysters. The food was great but it wasn’t worth the long waiting time, from my own personal opinion.
Superb. Fantastic experience. Cooked to perfection right in front of you and you self serve from the grill. Best Okonomiyaki I’ve eaten in Japan !! The soba, the sauces, the cabbage, the flavours and the eggs. Absolutely sublime. YOU MUST EAT HERE!!! Just get the classic and enjoy the fantastic simple flavours of Hiroshima
Fast service and fast food preparation, we are lucky we did not need to queue long to get seated. They serve the food on a heated teppanyaki plate which helps to keep the food warm throughout your meal time. Food was delicious enough for us to enjoy it.
Nice okonomyaki place with lots of different types of okonomyaki, also vegetarian/ vegan and without pork or seafood. Atmosphere feels very authentic. Sadly during rush hours you can expect a waiting line. We stood in line for approx 30 minutes with 10-12 persons in front of us.
