"The location is superb and the host was nice. I had a flammkuchen, portion was big for the price. It was not bad but a little different from the usual ones that I had elsewhere. If you are looking for enjoying a little traditional town, Bacharach is the place to go to and perhaps sit at this restaurant to savour some delicacies."

"The almost 250 km long trip was really worth it. We visited a horse farm in the area and settled in the beer garden of Old City Gate on a recommendation for lunch. For the big sunny weather nobody could. But thanks for the excellent regional cuisine at very moderate prices and the absolutely perfect service goes quite clearly into the kitchen and the service of the Landgasthof. There are even fun to give some more tips..."

"Genuine enough, nice siting in the garden. The food was really traditional in a good way. Locals only the evening we visited. The waiter was friendly with firm knowledge of what we should drink. Well worth a visit. They even accept credit cards."

"Good place for a meal with some great Greek inspired dishes. The food was good and the same applies to the service. Only negative was that half of the menu was not available when we visited so that the selection was quite limited, but overall it was a good visit."

"Sehr gutes Essen (Himmel und Erde, lecker-deftig), kühle Getränke (quasi Wein von nebenan), aufmerksamer Service... Es gab hier nichts auszusetzen, insbesondere weil uns als Familie mit 2 Kleinkindern auch das Gefühl vermittelt wurde, dass man auf etwaige Sonderwünsche ganz offen und flexibel zu reagieren gewillt ist! Auffällig ist aus meiner Sicht auch die liebevolle Gestaltung des Innen- und Außenbereichs. Man merkt, dass es kein Lokal "von der Stange" ist, sondern dass hier offenbar jemand mit viel Herzblut und Engagement einen Lebenstraum verwirklicht. Wir haben uns an diesem Abend sehr wohl gefühlt und kommen deshalb bei der nächsten Gelegenheit, die uns wieder in den schönen Rheingau führt, sehr gerne wieder. Und dann probiere ich etwas neues aus der durchaus spannenden Speisekarte... ;-)"
