"The old adage “some days are diamonds...” rings true with this restaurant. Recently having the misfortune to dine here for dinner twice in two weeks and lunch twice in 4 weeks, no serving was of the same standard. Chicken parmigiana and chicken schnitzel tasted bland and appeared to be deli bought “fake” chicken...yuk. An eye fillet one night was little bigger than a 50cent piece...absolutely ridiculous, yet another night the filet Mignon was delicious. Dinner of salt and pepper calamari was edible yet lunch time same was undercooked. Utterly rude lass behind the register topped off the whole miserable experience. Menu needs a complete overhaul and hire someone who can cook."

"The girl took a long time to ask me what I wanted at the speaker cause she was laughing so much. Probably joking around instead of doing her job. Then got my order wrong so i had to repeat it. Then when i drove up to pay she wasnt at the window and i waited and she didnt turn up so i drove to the 'collect ur food ' window and the young man said id have to reverse up to pay or drive around again!! No offer to take my card and pay pass it. I started to reverse but then a car came. So i had to drive around and through again. Now there was a line of about 5 cars so i had to wait just to pay and when i gt to the window the girl was still laughing, I was so put off. Lucky this was just a maccas trip and not a 5 star restaurant or theyd be out of business for sure."

"Had the roast special of the day. Nice roast beef, big serving. Helped ourselves to lots of lovely vegetables from the salad and veg. bar which was included in price of meal. Very friendly and efficient staff. Great to meet the manager who was most helpful. Good clean well run club with country atmosphere, would go there again."

"It's conveniently located next to Coles. The menu is the same in all these places coffee, cakes and meals. Car parking outside is easy and there is disabled parking just outside the door. But this is not the most efficiently run business in Ayr especially given the demands of a coffee shop. On the day we visited it was around half full, but the staff seemed overwhelmed. The front counter service was rushed. Some of the empty tables had not been cleared or cleaned and when asked could we have a table cleaned it was like a major issue. We asked twice eventually asking for a cloth so that we could do our own cleaning. There was no water in the dispenser so we had to ask for water. The food we ordered was fine when it arrived. It's just that our initial impression of the place upon entry and of the subsequent poor service left a very sour taste for us. There are better places to eat and they are better value as well."
