"This restaurant was recommended to us by the VVV for a wedding anniversary dinner. We certainly weren't disappointed. Unfortunately, there was no printed menu simply the choice of dishes being announced which makes it somewhat difficult to estimate the cost. We were served by the owner who was most attentive and even adressed my wife in French. The decor is rather higgledy-piggledy with bottles being stored everywhere. The cooking was excellent and fell into the category of nouvelle cuisine The curried scallops were unusual and the Black Angus fillet steak was superb. It appears from the stickers that the restaurant has been featured in the Michelin Guide over a number of years. We wouldn't hesitate to return there if we were to visit Alkmaar again."

"Very good Indonesian restaurant. service is friendly and helpful. we choose a rijst board for 3 with 4 people who were sufficient. eating is very tasteful and adapted to the western society, i.e. it is not too spicy. my own favorite is the sateh kambing or goat meat kewer. very delicate and tasteful. but all the dishes were very good. we had recommended a great evening."
