Delicious. Tap water wasn’t working and the employee walks over with drinks and gave them to us for free without plus asking. Awesome food and awesome service. Definitely recommend View all feedback.
What DAC doesn't like about Boston Market:
I just went in and showed my mobile order to staff. They were, like, okay just wait for two minutes. Until I noticed that everything inside the restaurant looked going out of business with no ceiling lights. And then one of staff used one coke bottle(which didn?t look cold) to pour in my large coke. So I received my order including rotisserie chicken with the drink and left. The chicken tasted okay, I think it was old... View all feedback.
The restaurant is poorly managed. On coupon nights, they often run out of cooked chicken or fail to replenish side items before they run out. I have been told it will take 25 minutes for the chicken to cook or 10 minutes for the sides to heat up, and sometimes they offer something else instead. On a few occasions, I have seen a sign on the door stating that they have completely run out of chicken, only to look inside and see employees standing around talking in an empty restaurant. This seems to be a consistent problem, as they do not seem to know how to plan for busy periods. It appears that the business does not provide adequate training for their managers on how to properly operate a restaurant, and the current team is running the place into the ground.
After my recent visit, I strongly recommend closing the Huntington Beach and possibly the Costa Mesa locations of this restaurant. The stores were empty and it seemed like there was no food being prepared even during the dinner rush at 5:30-6:00pm. The lights were off, the food was cold, and our order was incorrect. They no longer offer delivery services. I'm not sure who is in charge of Boston Market, but they should be replaced. We ended up throwing away the food and have decided to never dine at Boston Market again.
A staff member intentionally cut a chicken fillet in half to make the two chicken sandwiches I ordered, or a manager instructed them to do so. The sandwiches were missing pickles and ranch dressing. Additionally, I ordered a side of corn but received creamed spinach instead, and only realized the mistake once I got home. When I tried to order a bottle of lemonade in the store, they were out of stock and offered me the soda fountain instead, though most of the selections were unavailable. The bathroom was also dirty. Overall, I was disappointed with my experience and do not plan on returning to this restaurant. I had to resubmit this review because the previous one was hidden, presumably by management.
I have been coming to this restaurant for years. Tonight, I ordered two chicken dinners - one for myself and one for someone else - with two sides: sweet and cornmeal potatoes and gravy. The portion of the sweet was very small, even by their standards, and we are not big eaters. However, the worst part of the experience was the service. I had to ask three times for the gravy, and the third time was only when they had finished the meal. The server then hastily bagged our meals and said, "Enjoy," even though they were not busy. Very disappointing.
The new management of this chain has really turned things around. It seemed like they were going to shut down for good at one point. Instead of a long buffet line with many hot food options, they now have a small area with limited choices. They mentioned that they are trying to simplify things. Thankfully, we asked about this before making our selection.
