Schloss Helmsdorf

On our bike tour around Lake Constance we came by chance past the restaurant. Nice staff, great advice and really very, very good food (small onion roast is definitely worth the money! and a beautiful view of the lake. Even though it is difficult to find on a campsite, it is worth it all! Service: 5

We were here for the first time. 3 nights as a couple with a dog. Staff very friendly, place very clean and well organized. Technically beautifully equipped with washing room, dishwasher, washing machines and everything beautifully new. The location is beautiful and everything great to reach on foot. Now to the negative points. The placekeeper is very stressful and spreads restlessness. Dogs may be brought, however, not to the green areas and not to the Lake Constance... only outside the square, which was unfortunately barely signposted and there was also no plan to travel. The prices in the restaurant and in the shop are really very high, 4€ for a small jar, 1,70€ for a bun. In addition, diet showers extra. In the whole we liked it and we come back.

We stayed eleven days at the campsite. The groundskeeper gave us a friendly welcome and led us to our place. The washrooms themselves are spacious, the shower stalls rather small, no shelf for shower gel or shampoo but quite new. Disadvantage: for the entire site plus visitors to the sunbathing area, there is only one wash house, a long way to go to the toilet. The pitches are very small, after we had set up our awning, we looked directly at the neighbors 1.5m away and not at the beautiful nature of Lake Constance. Stony ground, the pegs are hard to get into the ground. All in all far too expensive for the performance you get. Was expecting a lot more for the hefty prices. Total disappointment. Driven seven hours for something like this. My mistake. We will definitely not come back to this place.

A beautiful well maintained place with a star restaurant, marina huge children's playground beach. There are also guest rooms. Impressive as this successful balancing act was found between everything. I think the tear is appropriate food drinks: The restaurant is moving on to Sternenivau, there are personal daily recommendations (Fangfresher Saibling) with the right wine tour. The food was top-class, the service was top, the prices......

We stayed in June at the campsite Schloss Helmsdorf for a week. The place is very well maintained and neat, however, the rear places are easily placed in a hillside, best wooden blocks or similar to be able to balance the WoWa, or with what you are on the go. Direct access to Lake Constance with bathing place and lawn due to the stones in Lake Constance is recommended to carry bathing shoes. Sanitary facilities are modern and cleaned several times a day (although some guests have not seen it). There are free dishwashers which we liked very much. There is also a small kiosk and a restaurant right on the square. The kiosk has been a bit expensive for our taste, but you don't have to buy anything there. The restaurant is really great, but you should reserve in advance as this restaurant is very well visited. Shower costs 0.50€ for good 3 minutes (this has not really disturbed us personally now). If you look at the place before on the map you can see that this place is located close to the road. So everyone should be aware that you can hear the road. We felt the noise of the road was very low. The staff were also extremely friendly. It may well happen that lawns are mowed and hedges are cut when a place becomes free. In our view, however, this serves as a place for care and not to annoy visitors/campers. Conclusion: We definitely come back and recommend the campsite.
