Englewood Cafe - Independence

This place is great for a home cooked meal. The food was tasty and the staff very friendly. It seems like they had lots of regulars. I heard the waitress asking the table next to us how there family was like they were old friends.

We were recommended this place by someone and I'm so glad they did and glad we went. It was so good. Both my husband and I enjoyed the food and the atmosphere. It had a small town feel to it and some good southern food that we haven't had in a while. We'll definitely be going back.

We were greeted quickly by our server with a smile on her face (so nice and rare these days). She was very efficient; from taking our order to filling our coffee. Our breakfast was good; but, what made the visit memorable was our server I should have gotten her name. We love small town 'Americana ' places and this is one of those places. I 'm glad we were able to support this small business.

French fries were most excellent I even ordered a second order of french fries the center line is monstrous but could use a little more flavor I did eat it all I am proud to say

My friend and I ordered breakfast. The food here was very well done. The portions were a nice size, and the service was prompt and efficient. Only confusing part came when it was time to pay. The restaurant has three dining rooms and our waitress got busy in one of the other rooms. We decided to go to the register to pay. Apparently either paying at the register or waiting for your server to come back is acceptable. I will definitely consider coming back to try their lunch and dinner selections next.
