Went for breakfast, place is really busy but the atmosphere is amazing, girls are all so friendly and have a smile for everyone, food arrived pretty quickly, I had eggs benedict with Stornoway black pudding and potato scones instead of muffin, partner had a small breakfast with a plain scone for afters, food was amazing and the tea was piping hot. Will return again soon read more.

Can be a great place for food as i use it every weekend. But I ordered a breakfast and iced frappe for delivery this week (just out of hospital after an op) and it came to £16 for a breakfast and a milkshake. The brekfast came practically cold and the frappe was melted to basically a milkshake. I know that these things happen but i live literally a 3 min walk away on the same street and they took £4 for delivery and... read more.

"Excellent Cafe both for its ambience and delicious coffee; the pancakes with crispy bacon and maple syrup were perfect. What was truly impressive was their attention to detail. We had a toddler with us and the warm milk ordered was perfect. The waitress kept an eye on our table to re-top up the free ice-cold water provided. I should also mention that the whole restaurant was spotlessly clean including the lavatory. I particularly liked the open door to the kitchen where you could see the chef busy at work. Always fascinating to see this and of course, reassuring."

"I started using Skirlies deliveries, amongst others,during lock down' partly to support local businesses who were likely to be struggling. This is the only place I still order from. I've never had reason to complain about the food. On the odd occasion when they can't fully fill an order, because they have been so busy, there's always a phone call asking if you'd like to swap something or change/cancel your order. Great customer service. I love the breakfasts here, my payday weekend treat. The cakes are delicious and fresh. I've never had a reason to complain about anything, except not being able to eat everything I ordered!"
