"Food wasn't really good, the noodles were overly soft and didn't have any texture. Veggies were small and overly soft too. It seems like it was all old food. The portions are weird too, the small and regular seems to be the same size just put into a different bowl."

"I have only lived in Iowa for 2 years. I have eaten in Des Moines, Quad Cities, Dubuque, Cedar Rapids and Amana Colonies. I must say until I found this place, Steak in Iowa was mediocre at best, nothing like a Gibsons in Chicago or STK at Disney Springs. However, the Chophouse is almost on par with those other places. Great value, service, and meats!!!! My new favorite place to eat in Iowa. I have eaten at most places in Des Moines or West Des Moines and would avoid those steak places."

"Ordered delivery garlic naan and spicy lamb curry. Hands down the best I have ever had! Super soft naan, just the right amount of char. They asked how spicy I wanted my curry I asked for 8/10 they nailed it (I like my food REALLY spicy, so I would probably rate this a comparative 6). There was plenty of lamb in the curry they didn't skimp. Delivery was quick, and the temperature was still very hot when I received it. There was nothing to complain about about my order. If you haven't eaten here you are wrong. Keep up the great work!!!"

"I work at midtown 2. I love my job as a server. I have the best bosses Janet and Bruce Ball. They r so caring. For example today we r to get a lot of snow. Roads are slick. And I get a call not to come in as I live 20 miles away and my safety is important to them. Could not ask for a better place to work. I will miss u when I move."

"Oh wow, what a fantastic restaurant. Best dinning experience we've had since we moved to Iowa. Had a lovely brunch with cocktails. The entire experience was made even better as we sat at the bar and watched the charming staff preparing meals. The chef de cuisine Matthew Prince and Jackie were so much fun to talk to as they showed us all the amazing dishes and ingredients making the restaurant so special. Worth the drive from Davenport. We'll be back. We did come back, this time for a fantastic dinner. Everything was so delicious and perfectly prepared. I had the delicious mushroom toast and scallops for my entree."
