What my gypsy likes about New China:
This place is a real gem. The Thai specials and curry dishes are excellent, the veggies are generous and not overcooked, and I prefer their chicken-broccoli over my former manhattan neighborhood’s favorite takeout. If you prefer sugary/gloopy Americanized “Chinese” fare, you will be disappointed, just go somewhere else. But if you want tasty fresh takeout that approaches clean eating, give this little spot a try. read more.

What Michelle D doesn't like about New China:
Meh. The place is extremely simple, small and hole in the wall-ish. The many high reviews must be for another establishment because I don't understand this place warranting them. It doesn't scream cleanliness, nor is the menu inventive. Their dumplings are doughy... Fried rice usually oily. In a pinch it's OK but not the place I like to frequent regularly. read more.

"This was our third dining experience at BH@SB. It didn't disappoint. By far the most professional staff, creative presentation, and most eclectic fresh food by any restaurant around. Each course is explained in detail and it's all sourced from their farm or from parent Blue Hill farm in the Berkshires. It was a true gourmet farm to table experience. The price tag is step, but you get what you pay for. Definitely worth a trip for a special occasion."

"I thought this restaurant would be a wonderful experience if I was looking for something I should eat while I visited my older elders in rockland county. my father was concerned to go after kentucky fried chicken, I never had a sway on her food choices, and I wanted to stop in a super market to get some hummus to dinner. on a laune I decided to drive a bit further on 9w to check a small stripe mall and to my surprise good roots was there and open for the next 10 minutes. it presents itself as an almost food juice place, but to my surprise the daily special was a vegan reuben! there is nothing I love more than a reub! the flavors were noticeable and the sweet potato friries were also fantastic. the menu had all my beloved comfort food and some special surprises to match the different cultures of the owners. the staff was friendly and helpful, the prices were reasonable and the foot was fantastic. as a vegan I want them to do so well so please if they are close to this place in rockland, maybe to drive on the cat kills, stop and try them out. x nikki"

The owner is a real down to earth guy and always super happy to make your experience perfect. If I lived down the street I’d seriously be there everyday they’re open! "I drove out from Westchester mainly to try iGrill's Loco Moco, and it was well worth the trip. I also had some spam and eggs with jasmine rice, along with all the sauces they had (in the interest of science). Two were sweeter than the rest, but there's a good kick in the red and black lava. We were a total of seven family members and their friends from the area, and everyone enjoyed the chicken sandwiches and other things plus various bubble teas, which I didn't try. The couple running the place single-handedly could not have been nicer, and we hardly had to wait despite inundating them. I want to go back! The katsu and wraps look good too."

"Try the Pasta Fagioli Soup, it is delicious, I had the Chicken Marsala Dinner (this time) which was also delicious, and had to turn down desert. No Room left, and I took alot home. We had four people in our group, and everyone raved of the taste of their food. Plenty of parking in front of the restaurant.This was our third visit to Slice of Scarsdale. Love this place!!"
