"The location and the view is amazing. The parking lots and the playground as well as the mini golf course are all in the immediate vicinity on the site. What was a bit disturbing is the fact that we couldn't get along with the ordering process. Do you have to get the food yourself? Where to order. Then a service comes and takes the order... complete confusion. Rather just sit down and be served. The food was great and the desserts weren't bad either. The waiting time is also very long. "As I was the first person to write a TA review of this wonderful bar five years ago, I feel compelled, five years later, to pen an update. I'm happy to say it's even better than I remembered and, since the first time, they now serve panini (not that it could be described as a food bar, thank God). No, it's a proper bar with a good outside space at the back where the bar staff are wonderful and the owner, Alex, is often around to engage with drinkers. We were there during the street festival - every Wednesday in July/August - and despite the rain, Avocado was rocking with a live band, a big crowd and a fantastic atmosphere. It's difficult with bars to put your finger on why exactly they're better than others in the area, but whatever their secret is, they have it. Also there's a good balance between local regulars and visitors - and everyone is given a warm welcome."
